Pro dv software

Also, your computer must have the respective drivers. You can, however, change the capture settings to either DV or HDV from within the Capture panel in an established project. You can choose whether to preview DV video in the Capture window during preview and capture. However, you cannot preview HDV footage in the Capture window during capture. It extracts the recording date and time also known as datacode or datecode and stamps it onto the visible area of each frame.

See the original date and time of recording change in real-time and with frame accuracy. Choose the exact format of the date and time stamp, also the font, size, position and language. Import time-stamped files into your own video editing or DVD authoring software.

Works with video files from many cameras, camcorders and smartphones - try the DEMO version with your own files.

See table below for supported file types. Play camera files and view the date and time changing in real-time - handy if you don't need a stamped file and just need to see the date and time immediately! Also stamp or view other metadata information such as camera exposure settings or GPS location when the recording was made, changing in real-time. The left hand side there is a fixed preview monitor, which can also be selected as a larger separate preview monitor and moved around the screen to your liking.

Upon closer inspection we can see the driver that is used which can be selected via the drop down button. Below that, there are playback buttons to run your camcorder from your computer. You also have the option to record the digital file back to the DV camera. Once the video has begun playing you can mute the audio if required. Again the video playback quality is lower than actual captured footage.

To be honest though, all modern video editors will do a much better job. Similar to WinDV scenes will be separated into their individual shots, listed in order by their date and time taken. Out of these two, I prefer WinDV as it is straight to the point and captures without connection issues for this test at least.
